Chris' experience spans a wide range of court work. He is categorised as a Principal Crown Prosecutor, the most senior category recognised by Crown Law.

 His experience includes:​ 

  • Hundreds of jury trials, ranging from drugs to violence, to serious sexual allegations, murder, manslaughter, money laundering, and fraud.

  • Appearances before the Court of Appeal, High Court, District Court, and Youth Court - including Ngā Kōti Rangatahi.

  • Complex/lengthy proceedings:

    • Regulatory prosecutions, primarily in aviation and resource management, but also covering land transport, and maritime.

    • Working with specialist communication assistance for defendants and/or witnesses.

    • Civil proceedings, including proceeds of crime.

    • Long running, multi-defendant gang trials.

  • Extradition.
